Reading reports locally it looks like the new Savoy may finally have "topped out"! Pity the poor local residents that have lost their sea views and now live in near permanent shade!

Latest photos on skyscraper city show that the development has finally stopping getting any higher - thank god!: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=300002&page=32

Real monster. I'd rather stay at Regency Club which looks so small...

And the Regency Club still has the sea view, unlike the buildings behind the new Savoy.

Thinking about it, the new hotel cannot be entirely a "hotel" as such - there will not be the demand for that number of rooms every night. Are we about to see the reappearance of timeshare sales on a level never seen before?

Regency Club has also access to the sea which is +++.

Drove past the other day. Disgraceful! How have they been allowed to build something so big.

I have no idea how somebody has been allowed to build this - it is twice as big as it should be.

Seems to be getting bigger. Who is going to occupy all these rooms!

A good question! The loss of Monarch flights reduces the number of Brit visitors in the short-term but the gap will probably be soon filled. But, the airport must be more sensible over landing fees!!!

Evelyn  you are spot on.

There's been huge growth to sell holiday packages that resemble timeshare offers including attempts to mislead to secure sales.

Are there any forums or networks to contact Regency Club members and share latest news and information?

Any feedback welcome.

J.
