First case of local contagion
The press conference currently underway this evening (Tuesday) has announced that Madeira now has a total 16 positive cases of coronavirus, 4 more than yesterday, according to health authority ISAÚDE at the daily bulletin concerning COVID-19.
Of these, 15 instances are imported, but, alarmingly, for the first time, there is a record of a case of local contagion.
The Diario reports that the Region registered a new positive case that arrived with notification after a trip to Spain in the last 14 days. In turn, this patient had close contact with another person who, when evaluated, tested positive.
The two other new cases are also resident in Madeira, but being recorded as imported cases.
