… takes total Portuguese fatalities to 30
The Directorate-General for Health confirmed this Tuesday the first death in the Autonomous Region of the Azores due to COVID-19.
With this additional fatality, the total number of deaths in Portugal is now 30, one more than that advanced by the Secretary of State for Health, António Lacerda Sales, in a press conference.
The number of recorded cases is currently 2,362.
Once again both figures contrast starkly with neighbouring Spain where there are 39,673 COVID-19 cases recorded and 2,696 deaths.
