…after a very cloudy week
madeiraisland.news has picked up on a report that after an overcast week that was unfortunately correctly predicted here, the Portuguese Weather Institute is issuing a yellow weather warning for hot weather that will remain in effect for three days.
The hot weather warning was issued early this morning and comes into effect from midday today, Sunday. Looks like July weather might finally arrive after the typical cloudy June weather persisted for two to three weeks longer than usual.
Blackouts affect several areas
The Diario reports that there were electricity cuts to parts of the island last night – Câmara de Lobos, Ponta do Sol, São Vicente and Porto Moniz were apparently affected.
