Quite exciting yesterday, as I can now see where our visitors are coming from. In just the first 9 hours we had readers from United Kingdom, Portugal, Belgium, Canada, Norway, Ireland, United States, Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, Iran, South Africa, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Guernsey, Brazil, Qatar, Philippines, and Jersey.
Our Summer season here in Rib. Bra. is being prepared, with the digger down on the beach most of this week, reorganizing sand and rocks, although I am not quite sure why they bother. We have 18 brand new hand made giant wooden beach umbrellas going up as well (thatched with palm fronds), so I think there will be plenty of shade this year. I have already ventured into the sea once, and it was so darn cold that it will probably be it for this year. My social life is getting more expensive here as the crisis bites, with the real essentials such as beer and tobacco going up. One bar I used to use often has put up its beer from €0.90 to €1.10 in less than a year, so that’s off my rounds now. In fact with those that have closed and those that are now charging too much, I think my choices are getting whittled away so fast I will be a night-time hermit by the end of this year.
