Ponta do Sol hosts MadeiraDig again
The Madeira Dig Festival is described by the island’s tourist authority as “a noteworthy high-quality cultural event that highlights Madeira as an attractive tourist destination for a young and active segment”. It started on November 29th and continues until December 7th.
The Quinta da Rochinha and the Mudas Contemporary Art Museum are hosting the event, taking inspiration from environmental awareness where relaxing in nature and genuine amusement combine with an urban lifestyle. There will be six days of concerts at the Mudas main-stage plus other activities, all happening at Ponta do Sol, between the John Dos Passos Cultural Centre and Estalagem, including installations, workshops & performances by local artists.
MADEIRADiG was created in 2004, filling a perceived gap in Madeira’s cultural scene concerning the areas of multimedia and digital arts. The detailed line-up can be found here
