Visitors reminded of road accidents and road awareness
The Diario reports that MadeiraShopping will open an exhibition this Thursday, November 14, in memory of the victims of the road. This is a project of the Regional Road Education Plan to mark the World Day in Memory of the Victims of the Road that is celebrated on the third Sunday of November – the 17th this year.
The idea is to remind the victims of road disasters and to pay tribute to the emergency teams, police and professionals who deal daily with the consequences of road accidents.
The Exhibition has a selection of photographs from the ‘Cem’ Comments on Traffic project, developed by the students of the 2nd and 3rd cycles of the schools of Madeira. At the same time, films will be screened to promote road safety.
This initiative results from the partnership between the Regional Directorate of Education and the Madeira Regional Command of the Public Security Police (PSP), which came together to recognize the victims of road disasters and their families. The representatives of these entities will be present at the official opening, scheduled for this Thursday, the 14th, at 10:30.
The exhibition will be exhibited on the ground floor of MadeiraShopping until November 21, with a view to sensitizing visitors to road accidents.
