Social media progress in new campaign
JM report that the marketing campaign with the motto “Madeira the best European island … see for yourself” which ran over three weeks on Instagram was a great success. The @visitmadeira page, saw 22,255 participants of different nationalities and generated a significant increase in the number of followers on Innstagram, which increased from 134,379 to 160,854.
The campaign was targetted to “reinforce the communication strategy that has been developed by the Madeira Promotion Association, based on the idea of proving greater interaction with digital platforms, increasing the fame of the destination, and awakening the desire to visit”. The same campaign was also released on the online platforms Facebook and Youtube, showing very considerable results, with a reach in the order of 18,530,903 million impressions.
To participate in the contest, simply follow the @visitmadeira page and comment on the photo of the contest, completing the following sentence: “Madeira is the Best European Island because_____!”, although it looks like a winner may have already been selected?
