Passengers held for 5 hours on plane in Lisbon

Ryanair plane on Lisbon runway for 5 hours

Thanks to Peter for alerting me to a Journal report that passengers on a Ryanair flight from Lisbon to Marseille were left for nearly five hours in the plane at dawn today.
The story is published by the Correio da Manhã  newspaper on the mainland, who report that the aircraft should have taken off at 6:25am, but at 11:00am passengers were ordered to leave the plane, returning to board 45 minutes later to go to France.
According to one passenger’s report to the CM, “several passengers felt sorry for being so long locked in the plane, without having been given water or food.”
A spokesperson for the main Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon said he did not know the specific situation. Ryanair, contacted online, as they do not have telephone contacts at the airport, did not provide any clarification.
