Porto Santo Ferry missing for a month
The Lobo Marinho, the Porto Santo Ferry, is undertaking its annual maintenance from today, heading for the Viana do Castelo shipyards on the mainland. The maintenance lasts four weeks – as usual – with a total cost of €1,200,000. After this, the ferry is scheduled to recommence its service on Friday February 2, at 7:00 pm, with its first trip being from Funchal to Porto Santo.
The weather forecasts for Madeira and Porto Santo, from 3:00pm tomorrow (Friday) indicate strong winds, reaching 110 km/h, mainly on the north coast, with waves from 4 to 5 metres. These may continue until Saturday.
