I noticed that there has been no mention in the papers that the coast road at the marina at Calhetta plus all the bars, restaurants & shops etc within the marina were closed on Wednesday due to another really bad rockfall caused by the rain. I don’t know if it been reopened since then but I don’t expect they will be receiving much in the way of compensation for loss of earnings.

Concerning the gardens … the one of Vila Porto Mare is indeed worth visiting. They have even a special blog with complete photos and information of the flowers/plants (388) they have there. http://vpmgardens.blogspot.com
