  1. Just down to the right from the entrance to the Mercado de Labradores.
A good place for a drink or two for the locals.

  2. I won’t be around for a couple of days, so I hope Sheila will be able to check the answers and award the hampers.

  3. is it in R. Brava?

  4. Spot on Martin, “Snap” as the local card players would say, in between drinks!

  5. Agree, see it when leaving the large parking, walking up to the corner and turning right, not always playing cards have seen some sleeping in the area also, perhaps because of the Poncha!
On another subject the ship I mentioned in a previous coment passed again this morning, unfortunately with no sails and it had five masts – we are now firmly convinced it is Club Med II, although what it is doing here we are not sure? where did it spend the night? am not mentioning that Marina again, but it is a possibililty!

  6. Absolutely right, Martin. After an early puzzle picture, which was much too tough for most people, I have gone too far in the opposite direction. You are all too good for me. Isn’t it nice of Der to offer a hamper to the winner? I hereby confirm that it should go to Martin. Well done! I am now taking a break from suggesting mystery photos as mine are too simple for you all. From now on, I will just try to guess other people’s teasers.

  7. Hamper found to be far too large just for little me!
Will pass it on for sharesies!
The schooner Sue, might have been hi-jacked and boarded by pirates.

  8. Hi Sue. Yes, we saw the five masted ship this morning on its way into Funchal (we assume). Looking at the Portos da Madeira (the official site) it only shows two cruise ships in today – not the Club Med II (who was here on 31 October 2009, according to their website, on its way from Malaga).

  9. Diario says the ‘Wind Surf’ has arrived in port at 9 am today. This 5 masted ship used to be called ‘Club Med 1′. She has 110 tourists and 180 crew. On a repositioning cruise from Lisbon to Barbados. Picture in the online paper (economy section).
