Paul de Mar?
WE AGREE WITH VIC AND BELIEVE IT TO BE PAUL DE MAR, FAR WEST SOUTH COAST OF MADEIRA.
No, Vic. Not Paul de Mar.
hi,
it’s AFAIK the well known white elephant at Jardim do Mar
Regards
Looks like jardim do Mar to me as well.
Yes, Jardim do Mar, hve actally walked to the end hoping to find something interesting, nothing there, so the white elephant remark makes sense!
Is it Jardim do Mar with a phare?
ah, finally the blog has come back to life!
I would have guessed Jardim do Mar too, but its not.
Ah Jardim do Mar! One of the best best surf spots in the world, until it was wrecked by that stupid promanade! Shame of you Maderia!
probably one of the top skateboarding locations now Waterbaby … every cloud has a silver lining they say
I can see a phare in the picture –is it past Canical towards Ponta Wotsit?
is it in Sao jorge?
You are all miles off. There are several clues in the pic so keep on guessing. What is a phare?
A huge thing that flashes at night!
Not Lido?
Between Faja d’ovelha and Ponta do Pargo?
No to all.
Sheila perhaps you should upgrade your difficulty rating a little
Ponta Delgada ?
Is it that place between Porto Moniz and Achada da cruz, where you have to get the old cable car down to the sea front?
Christo Rei
Canico de Baixo?
I’ve changed my mind–Praira Formosa–I’m certain!
we might have a winner, but it will have to wait for Sheila to check in tomorrow, but keep going just in case. One answer is close but it’s not as exact as the answer I was given
Praia areia, São Vicente ?
Congratulations, Noud – spot on! I really thought I had you all stumped there for a while. Perhaps the difficulty rating was a bit more than six – my husband Derek thinks “eight” would have been better. He suggested the venue for my photo, by the way. He’s a keen walker and knows Madeira well.
Whatever the answer is, Sheila (and I haven’t got a clue!), well done for getting everyone guessing.
I think the photo is taken in Jardim Do Mar on the new promenade looking west !
thanks Jan but Noud already got it :
